Digital platform technology for health

The challenge is not the lack of effective digital interventions — it’s how they are delivered.

We already have many digital tools that help people with their health, but they are often hard to use in real life.

Praxis Behaviour Lab CIC (Praxis) is a not-for-profit organization. We are developing this platform technology and preparing it for testing and evaluation.

The problem

Many effective tools are:

Built over and over again

Not well connected to each other

Hard to link with health services

This means people don’t always get the help they need.

The Praxis model

What Praxis does

Praxis is not just another app. It is a platform technology—a shared system that can run many tools in one place.

Current

Intervention A: 2 Apps (iOS/Android)
Intervention B: 2 Apps (iOS/Android)
+ legacy websites A & B

Separate builds, separate maintenance, separate pathways.

Praxis

Multiple interventions within one system
Shared structure for delivery and outputs
Designed for use in real-world settings

Built once to support multiple tools and future use.

How it works

Praxis is simple to use:

1. Answer a few questions

People respond to short, easy questions.

2. Get tailored advice

Praxis gives information based on their answers.

3. See a clear summary

A short report helps people understand their next steps.

4. Connect to care

The information can be shared with services to support care.

Why this matters

Praxis helps:

  • Find problems earlier
  • Connect people to the right support
  • Make better use of tools that already work
  • Avoid building the same thing again and again
  • It supports care in real-world settings—not just in research.
